Echo is a made-in-America success story. In 2005 a bright young engineer named Joshua Plaisted realized that the secret to making solar panels more efficient was to cool them with air! A research award from the US Department of Energy (DOE) quickly followed, and 4 DOE awards and 52 patents/patents pending* later, the rest is history.
